Minjung Kim, Ph.D.

Minjung Kim is an incoming Assistant Professor in the Department of Public Administration and International Affairs at Syracuse University's Maxwell School. She is also an inaugural visiting research fellow at Gradel Institute of Charity at Oxford University. Prior to joining Syracuse University, she was an assistant professor at the University of Alabama at Birmingham and postdoctoral fellow in the Center for Social Impact Strategy at the University of Pennsylvania's School of Social Policy and Practice in 2021-22. She holds her Ph.D. in public administration from American University. 

Her research interests include public and nonprofit management, organizational theory, organization-stakeholder interaction, charitable giving, social entrepreneurship, and social equity.

She received Emerging Scholar Award from Association for Research on Nonprofit Organizations and Voluntary Action in 2022, and her works have been published in a variety of peer-reviewed journals such as Journal of Public Administration and Research Theory, Public Management Review, Nonprofit and Voluntary Sector Quarterly, American Review of Public Administration, International Journal of Public Administration, and Journal of Philanthropy and Marketing.
